Did you know that what you experience every time you delve into the haunting realms of Gothic literature can be explained through analytical psychology? What if I told you there's more than meets the eye in those eerie tales you love so much and that you use most of the time as an escape from your draining reality?

I have spent most of my life as an independent scholar and researcher - around 15 years of my life - figuring out the reasons why I was so helplessly drawn to works such as Wuthering Heights, Dracula or Frankenstein, just to mention some of the more recognisable classics.

The answers were not in the books first, since before we truly understand what goes within we need to experience it first. Something that psychiatrist and psychologist Carl Gustav Jung talked about in his book The Relations between the Ego and the Unconscious.

It now makes sense to me why it took me some toxic relationships, a broken heart, loss, grief, anxiety, trauma, an existential crisis, and a few other things to come to the, now obvious, realisation that all that I couldn't explain when in the Gothic space had much to do with the dynamics of my internal figures and that of others.

The truth is that it all starts with oneself and a healthy curiosity to understand without judgment what goes inside. Something very challenging in a world of maximum communication, where what we are missing are precisely healthy and profound ways to carry out that communication.

Although this is nothing new, it is something terribly difficult to achieve as there are many factors at play, the functioning of the archetypes being one of them.

That's why I invite you to join me for an immersive journey as we explore together the profound depths of Jungian archetypes lurking within these haunting narratives that we tell ourselves and that we love consuming due to their resonance with us.

What to Expect from "Exploring the Depths" Webinar:

In this webinar, I'll uncover the hidden layers not only within Gothic literature but also in other productions with Gothic elements and in your everyday life. This will help you create awareness and realise that the Gothic is more than just a literary genre and that it can be used as a tool for self-exploration and personal growth.

Some, but not all, of the learnings you will walk out with are:

  • An Insightful Analysis: Unraveling the Jungian archetypes present in well-known Gothic works and their relevance in our times.

  • Interactive Discussion: Active engagement in thought-provoking conversations exploring the psychology behind some common archetypes that not everybody is aware of.

  • Personal and Professional tools: A deeper understanding of characters to create more rounded profiles and a deeper knowledge of the human mind to help others in their journeys.
