The Myth of Gothic Land

A descent into the untold story of your mind, body, and soul

Every journey begins with discomfort. Mine began with an existential quest.

What started as a fascination with Gothic literature, with ghosts, monsters, and the shadows of the human psyche, soon revealed itself as something more: a symbolic language. A mirror. A myth I could call my own.

Over time, this myth grew into a vision: The School of Thought of the Gothic Psyche, a framework that brings together Gothic storytelling, Jungian psychology, and mythopoetic wisdom. Its purpose is to help us remember what we have forgotten: that our suffering is symbolic, our bodies speak in metaphors, and our souls whisper through the irrational.

From Wonderland to Gothic Land
As a child named Alicia, Alice in Wonderland always felt strange, fragmented, even frightening; a dreamlike world of masks, cruelty, and riddles. I disliked it, but it clung to me. Only years later did I realise why: beneath its nonsense, it carried the Gothic’s truth.

Through literature, I glimpsed archetypes, shadows, and psychic realities. Through Jungian psychology, I found the language to name them. Together, they opened a path of descent: a way of entering the symbolic so that body, mind, and soul could speak.

The Three Gates of the Descent

At the heart of the Gothic Psyche are three gates. Three mythic thresholds that mirror lived experience. They are not abstractions; they are ways of inhabiting our truth:

-
The Body as a Haunted House
Fatigue, illness, trauma... the body remembers it all. It speaks in symbols. To listen to it is to uncover the stories you carry.

-
The Mind as an Archetypal Universe
Dreams, anxiety, and neurodivergence are not errors, but patterns of meaning. Your mind is a symbolic architecture, not a flaw to be corrected.

-
The Soul as a Daemonic Guide
That quiet dread, that longing, that irrational pull toward the unknown is the daemon’s voice. It disrupts, but it also transforms.

These gates form the mythic map of the Gothic Descent: a journey inward that reveals what the outer world has taught us to ignore.
The Invitation

This is not a place for fixing yourself. It is a place for remembering. For listening. For giving form to what aches in your body, whispers in your mind, and hungers in your soul.

The Gothic Psyche is an invitation to walk through your inner world with intention, to reconnect with your myth, and to allow discomfort to become a doorway.

If something stirred as you read this, such as a recognition, a shiver, a sense of being seen, then you are already at the threshold.

I invite you to step further: join my circle of reflections, dream symbols, body-based insights, and offerings. This is not just another newsletter. It is the first step into the School of the Gothic Psyche, where descent begins with truth.
