This is a working concept that emerged through years of research into the ways Gothic culture helps us think about experiences that contemporary societies still struggle to name, sustain and integrate.
Rather than describing a particular kind of person, it proposes a way of reading the symbolic relationships between literature, art, psychology and lived experience.
Exploratory Literature
A way of reading texts that moves beyond interpretation alone, approaching literature as a space for investigation, dialogue and discovery.
Through this approach, stories become places where different perspectives, questions and human experiences can meet.
Calindasias
A creative reflective practice developed within The Gothic Descent, using questions, images and symbolic exploration to create personal connections with cultural works.

Within The Gothic Descent, these concepts are developed as part of an evolving research framework that brings together Gothic studies, depth psychology, symbolism and cultural analysis.
